So the after a few holdups in Ben Gurion Airport (I think security gets confused when my mum can speak hebrew and I can’t) we finally said goodbye to Herb and his kids and got on the flight – I Selpt most of this one.

We arrived Bangkok 11 hours later at about 2pm. An hours drive into the city took us to the Indra Regent Hotel which is located right above the Pratunam market (one of the biggest for garments).

The next morning we got up early (not on purpose) and waited for the sun to come up to have brekfast and then we set off for our morning journey. First we caught the sky train to one of the ferry terminals. Then a boat ride up the river to the kings pallace. We had a look around albiet a quick one (mum and I were both a bit sick and the heat wasnt helpting!). A dodgy taxi ride home and I had a swim and lunch then slept till the evening.

Evening came and Mum and I were picked up and taken to the river where we went for a night time dinner cruise up on the top deck of a big boat. It was amazing seeing the lights of Bangkok from the river and having music and a traditional dance and mask play performed!

The next morning I got up early and went on a tour of the Damnernsaduak Floating markets. It was awesome first they took us on a half hour boat ride through the canals then we were free to peruse the markets from the canal side – I had some yummy coconut pancakes and some coconut milk.

In the nick of time I arrived home and quickly grabbed a few things I wanted from the markets below and then we had to get to the airport where we flew home!
